OLYMPIC SEVENS BEGAN IN TOKYO WITH 12 TEAMS IN ACTION

The Olympic rugby sevens competition kicked-off as 12 teams were in action at the Tokyo Stadium. Defending champions Fiji came from behind to beat hosts Japan in the opening match. Great Britain, New Zealand, Argentina, South Africa and USA also kicked-off with wins in their pool matches.

Japan showed an impressive performance before losing narrowly in the opening match to Fiji. South Korea also played some good games despite playing in the group of death with New Zealand, Argentina and Australia. The two Asian representatives will be playing their last group match on Tuesday.
